Music Art Project – Music of Hope – proudly announces concert “Music Creates Humans”
We are delighted to invite you to the concert Music Creates Humans, on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 11:30 am in the Kolarac music hall in Belgrade, Studentski trg No. 5.
The concert will feature children aged 12 to 16 from Bujanovac, Surdulica, Leskovac, Kraljevo, Ćuprija and Belgrade, joined in their diversity by music. The concert is organized towards the end of the music camp Music of Hope, held at the elementary school “Lazar Savatić” in Zemun from 19-26 July.
We wish to celebrate together with you the achievements and success of the children from the Music of Hope program, who are impatient to perform and shine again in front of the audience in Belgrade.
Along with classical masterpieces, we’ll show how we cherish our music tradition and other music genres. In collaboration with established international artists, conductor Jose Angel Salazar Marin (Venezuela/ Greece), trumpet player Sergio Arrue Domingo (Spain) and percussionist from the Royal Conservatory of Madrid Manuel Perez Delgado (Spain), over 150 children in choir and orchestra will perform famous songs from around the globe and Serbia, in innovative arrangements.
Let’s enjoy music together!
Admission is free. Due to epidemiological measures, please collect your tickets in advance at the Kolarac ticket office, from Wednesday, July 17.
More about the project:
For the second year in a row, MAP is implementing the project “Tomorrow Starts Today” funded by the EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia within the program “Support to Civil Society 2018”, in partnership with NGO Praxis. By implementing innovative music activities based on the renowned inclusive El Sistema methodology, the project addresses social exclusion of children from marginalized communities, with the aim to uproot prejudice and discrimination at early age and create an open environment that nurtures diversity, while empowering children and youth to engage in development of policies that concern them and impact their lives.
