So that music doesn’t stop
29. September 2020.
The coronavirus pandemic only emphasized the enormous poverty of a large number of our citizens, the youngest of whom felt completely isolated from their peers due to the inability to be involved in distance learning.
At the moment, 274 children living in difficult financial situations, from Belgrade, Obrenovac, Kraljevo, Leskovac, Bujanovac, Surdulica, and Niš, are not able to continue attending classes because they do not have the appropriate equipment.
That’s why we wanted to provide each one with a tablet and an internet connection to enable them to stay connected with their peers and not lag behind them in learning.
Our organizations Music Art Project, Foundation SOS Children’s Villages Serbia, and ADRA has been dedicated for years to work with children, creating better conditions for their education, development, and progress. In these challenging and unexpected circumstances, the help we need to at least somewhat reduce the obvious inequalities require greater solidarity than ever before. Together with the Catalyst Balkans Foundation, which brought us together, in order to facilitate the donation process and ensure greater visibility of the problems of these children, we launched a campaign on the Donacije.rs website.
You can support our joint campaign:
- Online donation at donacije.rs/online-nastava-oprema/,
- By sharing a donation invitation.
The price for 274 tablets is 2,460,520 RSD (274 tablets x 8,980 RSD), in addition to which they need a stable internet connection during the school year in the estimated total value of 2,630,400 RSD (Monthly internet 100 GB from 1,200 RSD x 8 months x 274).
Every amount and type of support is extremely important and welcome!
We are sure that you will recognize the importance of this project, the integrity of the organizations behind it, and that we will be able to cooperate and provide equal opportunities for all children.
